| Customer Reviews: Disappointed April 5, 2010 Disappointed in Texas 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I received the 5.56 treadmill on 2/8/2010. I loved it until 3/18/2010 when sparks flew from under the deck. I immediately turned it off and unplugged it. I called Smooth Fitness immediately. They said USA Assembly would call me within 24-48 hours. They called the next day on 3/19/2010 to tell me that someone would call me with 24-48 hours. I never received that call or any other call from them regardless of any promises they make to call me back. It has now been 2 1/2 weeks and they are still searching for a service technician to work on it.
I am so disappointed. I am of average weight and used the treadmill for walking less than 30 times before it burned up -- not impressive! I purchased it based on the good reviews and the 2 year in-home warranty. The warranty doesn't mean a whole lot if you can't get someone to work on your machine. I couldn't in all fairness recommend this to anyone.
Also, be aware that if you live in a rural area the treadmill is "curbside" delivered by an 18-wheeler. The truck couldn't manage to get down our street. I was lucky that my husband was home and could use his trailer to meet the truck in a more accessible area.
great treadmill June 16, 2010 Cesar M. Cardenas Torres I have had this treadmill for 2 weeks and i think it is a great, sturdy treadmill. I had one before but it shaked alot, something this treadmill does not do at all. Its only been 2 weeks and i have only tested it at 7mph and i weight 200lb and it feels very sturdy. The cushioning system helps me preventin knee pain. Again, im very happy and i weel update my review in a couple of months.
I haven't tested the speakers, since i work out early in the morning and i dont want to wake up my newborn baby. The fan works great, but i dont really need it so its always turned off. The treadmills runs very quietly. When its not in use it can fold to save space or to cleen under it.
It has a lot of program workout which i have not used, cause i allways run at a steady pace.
Incline Levels are deceiving May 8, 2010 Michael Greenfield (Philly) Please note that the incline has 15 LEVELS, but that does NOT mean that it inclines to 15%. The machine only inclines to about 8% realistically. They try to trick you with the small print.
Great product for the money April 9, 2010 James L. Hunter (Beckley, WV USA) After several days of researching different models with many different features, this one caught my eye. It runs fairly quiet, priced kind of mid-range, is very stable and is a breeze assembling. I have used it from day one and I can honestly find no fault with this machine. Using it is simple and straight forward, easy to figure out controls.
